Black Eyes third music video since signing with Lao Pride Records has finally premiered onto Youtube! The single is called "Khor Tod T Long Pid", meaning "Sorry for doing wrong" in English.

The video focuses on a guy who is a "player". He cheats on his girlfriend while going to see other girls.

One day him and his girlfriend are walking on the streets and he see's a guitar that he likes. His girlfriend decides to buy the guitar for him as an anniversary gift.

When she goes to give him the gift, she finds out that he's on a date with another girl. She then leaves the guitar on his front porch with a letter. When the guy see's it on his front porch, he runs to apologize to her.

Did she forgive him? Or did she reject him? Watch the music video to find out!

Tar Releases Third Single, "Thouk Yarng Kao Jai"

Five months ago we got to watch the full length music video for Tar A'pacts "Khor D Khor Sia". Near the end of the video we got the chance to hear a little snippet of his third single. We can finally hear the full song now.

His third single release, "Took Yarng Kaow Jai" continues off from his previous music video. It is a sad ballad song about the departure of his lover.

Even though he doesn't want to let them go, he must do it for them. All that is left that he can have are the memories that the two once shared.

Boy band MAZ has released their second music video, "Bork Dai Kham Diew Wa Jeb". After a long wait since the release of the single, fans of MAZ finally get to see the music video.

The video starts out with a girl looking at a wall full of old photographs of her past relationship. It then takes us back to the past when her ex boyfriend began to cheat on her. It all started at a party where he meets another girl.

In the end she wishes for him and his new lover to love each other but in the end to not be able to be together. Then she throws the cake into his face, ouch!

Upcoming new Lao movie, "Huk Aum Lum", stars a number of familiar Lao singers that we all love. "Huk Aum Lum" is a new Lao film produced by Hemon Studio and Lao New Wave Cinema.

The cast are made up of many Lao singers including Sack of Cells, Alee from "Shawty", Jear Pacific, and DJ Kaew Kun. The movie falls in the romantic comedy category.

The movie is about a singer who is from the country side who has became a star in the city but then he feels like that's not what he likes. He then returns back home to his village to his loved ones and family but then a feud begins when two people fall in love with the nang ek.

Check out this new release of Cells new song called "Bard Pae" meaning "wounded". It is the official sound track song for upcoming new Lao film, "At the Horizon" (Lao New Wave Cinema Production).

In our opinions, it is one of Cells best work so far. The music video shows Cells in a silhouette form and playing various clips from the film.

The movie features a Lao singer as the lead, Kataiy. For those who may have not heard of him, Kataiy is a singer who released his single in 2010 with the song "Khon D Tee Jao Bor Huk".

Toun's music video has now been uploaded onto Youtube! It is the singers first time to release a solo single after forming the female duo "DiVa" under KPY Entertainment.

We were able to listen to her release when she dropped the single in late October.

The video tells a story of Toun and a guy friend who has numerous problems with his girlfriend. Every time he has issues with his girl, he goes to Toun for help. Little does he know that Toun actually has feelings for him which is why she doesn't want to hear about his problems with his girlfriend.

The music video for Aluna's "Ladoo Garn T Bor Mee Jao" has officially been released to the public! This song was released in October and has received great reviews from her fans! Aluna also asked her fans to vote for the name of her single of which "Ladoo Garn T Bor Mee Jao" won.

Her music video features one of Xtreme's members, Tou. The actress is played by Annita's little sister, Peggy. They play the roles of two complete strangers in which one day changes their lives dramatically.

The video opens with Peggy talking on the phone while driving. Tou then walks out onto the cross walk and then he gets hit by her! Ouch! So then he becomes blind leaving Peggy to watch over him while he heals.

One day he tells her that he wants to see what she looks like. Peggy decides that she doesn't want him to know and she leaves right after he gets his vision back.

At the end, two years passes by. The two bump into each other but Tou doesn't realize that the girl he just bumped into was the girl that took care of him at the hospital!

The full length music video of Boxer's latest hit, "Tarng Hua Jai", has finally been uploaded onto their official Youtube channel. We got to get a glimpse of the video last week when the band uploaded a teaser.

Boxer's new music video tells a heartbreaking story of two young teenagers who were once in love. The guy leaves his girlfriend for someone else to later find out that this girl is already talking to another guy.

One day he runs into his ex-girlfriend at a cafe where she's seen modelling for a photoshoot. He runs out of the restaurant back home and writes on his mirror, "I love her, I'm crazy, I'm stupid".

Overall, this is probably one of our favorite songs from Boxer. The video was shot beautifully and professionally. Very well done.

Rock band Boxer has now released their newest music video teaser for their single "Tarng Hua Jai" that was released a few months ago in August. "Tarng Hua Jai" is a sad song about feeling that they've chosen the wrong path and knows that it's too late to turn back to the one they love.

At first glimpse of this 38 second teasor, I was quite impressed with the the overall quality of the music video. It was shot beautifully with the use of a stabilizer. The orange coloring fit well with the style of the band making it look like a real band music video.

The video will be telling a story of two young teenagers. It seems like the pha'ek is feeling a bit sad! We will have to wait until December 1st for the full length music video to release.

Having done many shows at restaurants, the five friends decided to form a band. Their names are Biby (vocalist), Fruity, Tui, Kosoe, and Bee.

Wow, that was quick! In just a week of releasing their 3rd single we are now able to watch the full music video for "Pen Peuan Bor Wai".

It seems that they are using the same set from Tot-Lina "Nightmare" but that is because they shot it in the same day. It fits well with the music video though!

There isn't a story line though. The guys each have their own time to shine and have solo shots in the video. Not bad actually, story lines can get a bit repetitive sometimes.

The full version of Mr. Bo's newest music video has now been released onto Youtube! The name of his new song is called "Phou Sai Hen Gae Tua" (ຜູ້ຊາຍເຫັນແກ່ຕົວ).

It all starts out with a dinner date scene where Mr. Bo is seen eating out with the nang ek at a restaurant. Things take a turn when the waitress gives him a flirtatious smile and gives him a little wave.

He then excuses himself to go and talk to her but for what reason? The nang ek couldn't bare with this and she walks out on him.

After being able to hear Aluna's new single release the last couple of days, we now get know what her new single title is and even get a preview of the music video release!

Aluna asked her fans what they wanted her new single to be called. She received tons of submissions but the title with the most votes was "Ladoo Garn Tee Bor Mee Jao".

There's also been a music video teaser released as well! It stars one of Xtreme's member, Tou. From watching the video, it looks as it will be telling a tragic story of two young lovers. A terrible accident seems to be a reason for this as we see Tou in the hospital!

One thing that we've noticed that is different is that they've changed members! Once a four member group is now a five member group! They've gotten two new members and sadly they lost one member, Pamela.

A group of Lao celebrities have gotten together to start an anti-drug campaign song to help save the lives of those who seek drugs to heal their pain.

Some of these celebrities includes Aluna, VJ Nutha, Tee Oudalai, May, Malaythip (Miss Laos 2010), and Sack Cells. There were also athletes and dancers in the video.

The song is for people who feel as if they're lost and end up using narcotics to take away their pain. The purpose of this song was to let them know that they're not alone and there is always some there who loves them such as their parents.

If you hurt yourself, you end up hurting the ones that love you as well!

Finally we get to hear some new work from one of Laos' first hip-hop groups, L.O.G! This new song was done by only one of L.O.G's members though which is Flip.

The song is called Imperfect and features a female singer singing the chorus, Tik Mona. She has sung for Over Dance's song 'Music Zone'.

'Imperfect' is a song about not being perfect. He feels that because he's a bad boy and doesn't have the perfect body size that his girlfriend doesn't like him. The girl then says she doesn't care about any of that stuff and all that matters is that they love each other!

Tar Reveals His Official Music Video

After teasing us with a short music video teaser last week, we can now finally watch the full length music video of Tar's single "Khor D Khor Sia". The two actresses featured in this video are Vena and Mouna.

It first opens up with a short dialogue by Tar saying, "After that accident that happened to me, our love has been over since then".

He has been paralyzed from the waist under. As each day passes the image of his past lover, Mouna, haunts him. He feels hopeless because there's nothing he can do to get her back.

In the end he see's her appear again and tries to walk towards her. Vena wakes up to see that he is gone but where is he now? It leaves us hanging and we will have to wait until the next release of his new song to find out the rest!

The teaser shows a snippet of him sitting by the pool and reminiscing about the past of him and Muna,from DiVa, playing along the beach front. Vena is also seen coming down from a set of stairs and watching him.

The song is about being in love with a girl but she doesn't know it. He wants to be the one to love her but he knows that all he can be is the one she goes for to seek advice. The only way he can be with her is through dreaming.

The music video was shot quite nicely and in very clear HD. Probably one of the best music videos shot this year so far.

Cells and Pull-T Clubs New Song

Last week rock band Cells released their newest hit featuring hip-hop group Pull-T Club as they bring in a hot track called 'Narng Fa Dern Din'.

The song was made for promoting the Axe Angel line and tells a story about angels on the face of the Earth coming to fall in love with an ordinary person.

Pull-T Club members Sytz, Alee, and Khone all come in to add their own rap into the track.

Sam's Latest Music Video

After a great successful comeback with his single "Im Sorry", Sam Intharaphithak releases a new single for his fans to listen to. The title of the new song is called "Bor Mee Wun Dai Huk Gun" which means something like 'there will be no day we can love each other again'

Sam sings about wanting his past lover to be the one to hear 'goodbye' so she can understand how it feels like to be hurt from knowing that you have someone else.

The music video focuses on Jear, a Lao comedian-actor/singer, who is torn apart because his wife leaves him. He then finds a new girl and they fall in love. They both help one another out with things such as Jear fixing her car and she watches his daughter for him.

Near the end of the music video things turn upside down when they go out to eat dinner and his ex-wife bumps into him. She approaches his new girl and says 'I see you like to eat left overs'. What a ~~bitch~~ *whoops* I mean bitter woman.

They then leave to go meet his new girlfriends mother. His mother disapproves of him because she wants her daughter to find a better man. He tells her that they should just break up.

Cells Collabs With Pull-T Club

Get ready for a collaboration of rock band Cells and Pull-T Club as they bring us a rocking new single called "Narng Fa Dern Din" or in English 'Angels on Earth'.

In the 1 minute video teaser they uploaded you are able to hear a snippet of Pull-T Club 'Sytz' rap solo along with the chorus of the song sung by the lead singer of Cells, Sack.

The television show 'Khon Ga Game Ta Sing Larng Wun' on Lao Star TV recently had a special with appearances from a variety of Lao singers and stars. It is a game show to test the strength of its players.

Appearances were made by stars that include Super One, Tot-Lina, Xtreme, Maz, Barbie, Bee, and Mew Caramel! The players were required to go through a variety of obstacles of which if they fail would land them in a pool of water.

'Ngao' Official Music Video Released

At last the long awaited music video for 'Ngao' by the singer Tou has now released! The sad thing though is that we don't get to see what the actual singer looks like because he makes no appearance in the video.

The story focuses on two youngsters meeting each other on accident. The girl drops her passport at a cafe while a boy finds it. He then tries to find a way to return it but also admires her photo in the passport.

They then meet again later and have some drinks. He finds out bad news that she is not from here and she will be leaving to go back home. He tries his best to look for her then finally finds her at the airport where she made a depature.

At the beginning of the music video it shows scenes that actually happens after they meet showing that they are missing one another.

After a long break in the entertainment spotlight the singer and actress Alexandra Bounxouei is officially back with a new single for the 2011 year. Her last major project was starring in a Thai lakorn called 'Rae Rai Loug Sao Pa'.

The new single that she will drop soon is called 'My Radio' and it mixes lyrics in both Lao and English. It shows a new side of Alexandra. She's more fierce and she's not playing with anymore of those silly love games.

May Releases Full Music Video

Many have waited for the full length music video of May's third single to release and today it finally ends. You can now watch the official video on Youtube.

It all starts out when May is having dinner alone and she see's her ex-boyfriend enter the room holding a girls hand. Later throughout the video we learn that the girl was May's friend and she introduced her to him. It then backfired and they got together leaving May heart broken.

She has lots of flashback moments on past experiences with her ex showing scenes like the ones in the playground. Watch the music video to see who stays with who in this difficult relationship.

Aluna Interviewed by 'The Travel Word'

Our very own Aluna was recently interviewed by an American journalist for the travel website 'The Travel Word'. Aluna was able to both share her music to a broader audience and introduce our beautiful Lao culture.

In the article they dub her the princess of Lao pop music. They give a little brief biography on Aluna about how she started off with singing just regular pop music and now she's trying to mix the traditional 'khene' instrument into her music.

She explains that the people who most influence her today are her mother and father. As a child her father always played the guitar and her mother would sing along at times. Her first instrument she learned to play was the guitar.

The article also included Aluna's recent music video for 'Keun Kong Khuam Kit Terng' or 'Frequency of Love'. They mentioned about an earlier feat as well when Aluna was interviewed on national American TV 'The Today Show' by Matt Lauer.

Seems like KPY has been very busy with shooting music videos because here comes yet another music video for the solo singer Kataiy with his teaser for his single 'Khon Dee Tee Jao Bor Huk'.

It's been quite a long wait for us having it been nearly nine months since the single released. The little clips show very dramatic scenes dealing with a couples relationship. Kataiy is seen singing with his back onto a grey wall, not much to make out of the teaser though.

Super One Featured on Morning Woody

Lao singer Super One was recently shown on Thai television by Woody Milintachinda on his show 'Morning Woody'. Super One's single 'Sing Neung Tee Yark Khor', that was released last year in 2010, caught the eyes of Woody by surprise.

Before showing clips of the music video he tells his audience that when he first watched it he was surprised to know this was a music video from Laos, though he doesn't tell them it was Laos until the clips are shown.

He explains that the reason for him showing Super One's music video is because he feels that many Thai people have not yet seen this music video and wants them to get a chance to watch.

Later he talks about that in Asia there is K-Pop, J-Pop, Thai-Pop etc. and says that maybe one day Lao music can also be popular throughout Asia.

After learning that the girls of Genii will be releasing a new 'cutesy' type of song, we are now able to catch a glimpse of what this trio group from Indee Records have in store for us.

In a video that was uploaded to Youtube we get to see the behind the scenes of their new music video 'Yark Fung Kham Wa Huk' which features rapper Alee from Pull-T Club.

Girl group Genii will be releasing a new single in coming days. According to their official fanclub page, their new single will be different from their previous songs. This time the girls will be singing to an upbeat dance track and will be showing off some choreography.

The song is called 'Yark Fung Kham Wa Huk' and will be their 4th single. On an interview on a variety show called 'Zoop Zip Zap', Genii and Idolz mention that their new album will be coming out soon this month and will have at least 6 songs total.

Some of you may have already heard their single 'Kiss Me One More' when we uploaded their single onto our Youtube channel a couple of days ago. At the time though we did not know who these guys were until recently while browsing through Facebook.

We'd like to introduce to you the guys who sings 'Kiss Me One More'. They are called 8.3.1 and their name comes from the fact that the sentence "I Love You" has 8 letters in it, 3 words, and 1 meaning.

Wow! Today marks the 2nd anniversary of LaoPop4u since we first started back in the year 2009! It's been such a fun experience for both of the authors who help keep LaoPop4u alive and running.

Since starting out we have been able to meet so many friendly people. Lao artists have also been so supportive of our website by helping to spread it.

It all began in 2009 with the hopes of one individual to help support the small and ever growing Lao music industry. After many failed attempts at searching for a perfect website to keep me updated with Lao music, it finally hit me one day, "Hey, I should make one myself!". From then on this blog was born.

After having introduced their selves with their debut single 'Flirt' last year in 2010, the five guys from Xtreme are back with a new hit single called 'Bor Fair Bor Care'. This will make it the boy bands second single.

KPY Entertainment describes this song as having an 'Asian Pop' influence to it mixing a nice piano and violin melody into the instrumental.

The lyrics speaks upon a relationship that is unfaithful and deceiving because their lover is seeing someone else while still in this current relationship.

The Lao singers who have sung the song for theme song of the first ever Lao Entertainment Awards has gotten together to shoot a music video for the song Sai-Sana (ໄຊຊະນະ) . The song was written by the talented singer-song writer Tee Oudalai.

The first ever Lao Entertainment Awards made its debut in Vientiane, Laos last night showcasing many beautiful performances that narrated the story of the Naga legend. Various singers also opened with a fantastic performance of the theme song called, Xai Xana (ໄຊຊະນະ).

The night honoured not only just the ones working in the entertainment but also behind the scenes of it. Some of the categories were for television, radio, print, and music.

Hip Hop group G-Bloodz is getting ready to release their music video for their latest hit single 'Tao Boun Tun' and have just uploaded a music video teaser on their Facebook account.

Just as the days get closer to the premier of the first Lao Entertainment Awards, a list of Thai celebrities that will be attending the ceremony has surfaced up on Facebook. Music Video for 'Souk Tee Tae Jing' by Lao Artists

Finally the seven singers who sang 'Souk Tee Tae Jing' for Japan's earthquake and tsunami survivors last month has finally recorded a music video for the song.

In the video it shows various clips and photo's of the devastating event along with the singers singing in a studio. The artists were Aluna, Nouan, Lady, Ola' Black Eyes, Tar A'pacts, Sam, and Buratino.

Lao Artists Does Photoshoots with Mahason

In Mahason Magazines latest issues they invite many Lao stars to participate in a set of photo shoots. These singers ranged from the many record companies in Laos. The photoshoots are from Mahasons issue #109 & #110.

The singers present were Genii, Tik Princess, Shawty, Lady, Toun, Idolz, Tar, May, Kataiy, G-bloodz, and many more! Some were taken inside of a studio while others were taken outdoors in a beautiful vibrant green park.

Lao Entertainment Awards Coming Next Month

After being rescheduled a month ago, the first ever Lao Entertainment Awards will make its debut next month on May the 7th. It will be honouring every individual who works in the entertainment industry whether it be radio hosts, television VJ's, news paper writer, or performing artists.

The categories have already made its way online. These include:

Genii's Third Single, 'Ya Jam Jai Huk Gun'

Genii's latest single is called Ya Jam Jai Huk Gun or ຢ່າຈຳໃຈຮັກກັນ and this will make it the girls third. The music video has already been shot and aired a while back.

It stars one of the rappers from Pull-T Club named Sydz as the pha-ek. The story is about two couples love for one another but the nang ek's parents does not approve of her boy friend. Her dad buys a plane ticket to send her off to study abroad. In the end all he could do was watch her leave, it was too late.
